Day 1
Today, you will check in for your overnight flight to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
Day 2
On arrival in Dar es Salaam you will be met and taken to your scheduled flight to Saadani
National Park. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Saadani Safari Camp where you will stay for 3 nights on a full-board basis.Saadani National Park is the only coastal wildlife sanctuary in East Africa, which makes it somewhere special. Not only can you relax on Indian Ocean beaches after each safari, but you can observe Africa's big game and bird life interacting with the sea. Saadani Safari Camp is set on the beach, and has eight en-suite tented bandas (cottages) with thatched roofs. Activities include game drives, boat safaris, walking safaris, visits to Saadani village, a fishing community with a fascinating history and a fort once used for screening slaves and there is a green turtle breeding beach at Madete in the North.
The lodge has a swimming pool.Day 5
This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Selous via Zanzibar. On arrival in the Selous you will be met and driven to Lake Manze Tented Camp, where you will stay for 4 nights on a full-board basis.
The Selous Game Reserve is the largest game reserve in Africa, and Lake Manze is one of the richest of game areas in the entire Selous, both in the dry and wet season. Lake Manze Camp is a lovely bush camp on the lakeside with 12 en-suite canvas tents, with double zip locking and mesh windows. Activities include game walks, boat safaris and game drives.
Day 9
This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ruaha
National Park. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Ruaha River Lodge, where you will stay for 3 nights on a full-board basis.Ruaha National Park is one of the largest national parks in Africa and its remote location means it is comparatively unknown and remains unspoilt. Ruaha River Lodge is built overlooking the Great Ruaha River, and en-suite rooms are built from local stone and thatch in the style of local bandas. Activities include game drives and game walks.
Day 12
Today you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Mafia Island, where you will be met and transferred to Kinasi Lodge to stay for 4 nights on a full- board basis.
Mafia Island, south of Zanzibar, is an island retreat for adventure divers, game fishermen or simple feet up relaxation. The diving and snorkelling here is some of the best on the east African coast and the warm clear protected waters of the bay are perfect for swimming and windsurfing. Kinasi is a comfortable lodge situated on a
hillside overlooking Chole Bay, which is part of a protected marine park, and has a lovely, personal feel. The bungalows, which include one suite and one family bungalow with two
bedrooms, all have large verandas and en-suite bathrooms, and there is a swimming pool and a small spa offering treatments.Day 16
Today you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Dar es
Salaam, where you will connect with your overnight flight back to the UK.
