  • 17 Nights Kenya Safari

    Day 1

Today you will check in for your day flight to Nairobi, Kenya. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Macushla House, where you will stay for 1 night on a B&B basis.

Just twenty minutes drive from the capital, Macushla is a quiet retreat providing the amenities of a hotel yet the warmth and character of a private home. There are just five spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The house has open- beamed ceilings, natural woodwork, log fires in the lounges and views over one of the last pockets of indigenous forest.
    Day 2

This morning you will be met at Macushla and transferred by road to Amboseli, where you will stay at Amboseli Porini Camp for 3 nights on a full-board basis.

Amboseli Porini Camp is in the Selenkay Conservation Area, which lies just a few miles north of Amboseli National Park and is a significant dispersal area and rangeland for wildlife migrating out of Amboseli, and an area relatively unexplored by tourists making it very special and wild.

Amboseli Porini Camp is a total gem - small and intimate with the majority of staff coming from the conservation area itself. It's a proper bush camp with excellent private game viewing in the conservancy and the opportunity of going into Amboseli for a day trip. You see a bit of everyday local life on the conservancy and can visit the local villages, and all under the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro. There are six spacious guest tents, comfortably furnished and with en-suite bathrooms including shower, wash basin and flush toilet.
    Day 5

This morning you will take a chartered flight to Sosian. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Sosian Ranch, where you will stay for 3 nights on a full-board basis.

Sosian is a lovely ranch house set in 24,000 acres of working cattle farm and wild bush located in the vast Laikipia plateau. The area supports a wide diversity of wildlife and birds, and is home to four of the Big Five, as well as a host of other large mammals, including cheetah and the rare wild dog. One of the best ways to experience the African bush is on a horse and Sosian provides horses for all levels of riders.

The ranch house, which has been recently renovated, was originally built in the 1940s by Italian artisans, and has seven double cottages in the grounds. Sosian is a great place to unwind and just experience the wilderness, enjoying different kinds of activities including clay pigeon shooting, guided bird walks and fishing.
    Day 8

This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your charter flight to Nairobi.
On arrival you will connect with your scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro, where you will check in for your scheduled flight to Lake Manyara. You will be met on arrival and
transferred by road to Gibb's Farm to stay for 2 nights on a full-board basis.

Gibb's Farm is an original colonial farmhouse and working farm built in 1929 by German settlers. The 20 lovely guest cottages are set amongst beautiful, mature gardens, and the main sitting room, reading room, dining room, bar and gift shop are all in the old farmhouse. The organic farm provides nearly all the produce for the table and you wake up to fresh coffee, abundant flowers and breathtaking views.
    Day 10

This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip at Lake Manyara for your scheduled
flight to the Serengeti, where you will stay at Olakira Camp for 4 nights on a game package basis (full-board plus activities).
Olakira is a mobile tented camp which moves twice a year to the areas where the wildlife is most dense, giving you the opportunity for some fantastic game viewing. Although very comfortable, Olakira is not about five-star luxury, it's more about being in the heart of this wild place with the wildlife roaming freely among the tents and you feeling part of the natural spectacle. There are six guest tents, with large beds, private verandas and convenient en-suite bathroom facilities.
    Day 14

This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar, where you will stay at Matemwe Bungalows for 4 nights on a full-board basis.

Matemwe Bungalows is a small luxury beach lodge in a great location on Zanzibar's north- east coast. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and is ideal for those wanting to spend a few days soaking up the Zanzibari pace of life. There are 16 beach-front suites set on a coral cliff overlooking a stunning white sandy beach and the Mnemba Atoll, which offers fantastic snorkelling and diving. The suites are built from local materials, with thatched roofs and colourful interiors decorated with Swahili fabrics and driftwood sculptures.
    Day 18
